NEWS & UPDATES

BIG TIME, BILL! BIG TIME!

We’ve got some fun stuff for y’all this year! We recorded our space-themed concept funk album (with horns!) and we’ll get that out to your earholes before the end of the year. Plus, we’ve got a bunch of fun events coming up…Head on over to our Shows area for a list of upcoming gigs.

INTRODUCING THE NEW 4TH MEMBER OF LOST OX: ZAC ALLEN

Our musical family is growing! We are excited to announce the addition of Zac Allen on guitar. It’s been more than 4.5 years of ruggedly trudging across the proverbial musical tundra as a three-piece and we are truly grateful to have found a kickass, badass, one-of-a-kind amazing 4th to complete our musical ensemble. Somethings just fit, you know? Zac is like the butter to our toast. The guacamole to our chip. The salad to our breadsticks. We’ve been loving playing with him, goofing around in the van with him, and sharing our brilliant (dumb) inside jokes with him. There’s nothing like pushing it in for a blast with Zac. If you haven’t gotten a chance to check us out with the new lineup, come on down soon! Collaborations, coagulations, very few consternations, and certainly congratulations are in order.

NEW ALBUM ‘TALE OF THE FOOL’ OUT NOW

Our new album is now LIVE in 3d! Check it out now!

Who is The Fool, but a representative of each of our own feelings of confusion and bliss in this wild, jester’s world? A dive into the sounds of bluegrass and folk rock and a departure from Lost Ox’s previous funk and blues explorations, Tale of the Fool is Lost Ox’s  fourth studio album, slated for release on May 3, 2024. With a definite nod to the 1960s folk rock revolution that redefined American music, Tale of the Fool represents the band’s finest singing and songwriting to date. The songs, written by guitarist and singer Dylan DiSalvio, feature authentic folk rock instrumentation, with mandolin and banjo featured on several tracks backed up by the more classic setting of drums, electric bass, and electric guitar. “We wanted to do something different,” says DiSalvio, “and bringing in this more diverse set of instruments and players really opened up the palette.”
